2011 MEDIA GUIDE RELEASED

This years edition of our media guide  has arrived and is ready for distribution. Copies were given to those players and parents attending Tuesday night’s practice. For those who were not in attendance, you will receive your guides from the coaching staff this week. Please make sure you pick them up.

To those parents who have sponsors please make sure they receive ample copies the Media Guide. If you require additional copies please contact either Coach Smithson or Bird to make those arrangements.

Finally, I would like express my  deep appreciation and thanks to Rick O’Connor and the staff at Black Press for their assistance in completing this project

Information concerning accommodations for both clubs has now been posted on the “parents page”. Arrangements have been made with the respective hotels to book your rooms using the club’s rate. This is time sensitive information so please do not delay in booking your rooms.

The White Rock Tritons are pleased to announce that Seniors, Josh Larsen and Josh Larsen have accepted baseball scholarships from El Paso Community College starting in September 2011.

These awards marks the culmination of four years of hard work and sacrifice  in the Tritons program for  Larsen and the third for Sigurdson. Both players are expected to be the top performers on this years club while looking to improve on last years strong performances.

With this announcement  both Sigursdson and Larsen will join former Triton grad(2010) Keenan Chanin for the Fall Season at El Paso.

We wish to congratulate both players for their dedication, leadership and hard work they have put into the program. They both are very deserving of this opportunity that allows them continue their education and baseball careers.

To their perspective parents Dan and Lisa Larsen, Derek and Tammy Sigurdson, we wish to extend both our congratulations and many thanks for your support over the past fours years.

Regular season schedules for both clubs are now posted. All tournament dates are included however the regular season game dates will be confirmed by Feb. 15th following final BCPBL approval. Additional non league game dates may be added as well.

TRITONS  TRAVEL TO ARIZONA  FOR SPRING TRAINING

This year the senior club will be travelling to Tuscon, Arizona to compete in the prestigious Jack Howell Classic featuring some of the top Junior College teams from the Southwest US.

In addition, the  White Rock Tritons are pleased to release the Pre-Season Schedules for both the 16U and 18U Clubs for 2011. We would have hoped to post the entire 2011 schedule however the 2011 BCPBL regular season schedule still has not been released by the league officials.

Tournament schedules for both clubs will be posted as soon as the entries have been confirmed. Finally further pre-season games dates will  be added to the respective schedules as they are confirmed.

Please ensure you check back regularly. Printer friendly versions will be made available once the schedules have been finalized.

Off season schedule resumes Jan. 4th. Players are reminded to check rosters.

Players are reminded to check their respective schedules for the revised  training groups, in addition you must notify the coaching staff  if you not be able to attend the scheduled training.

SANTA COMES EARLY FOR RAFFLE WINNERS

The White Rock Tritons Baseball Club wishes to thank all those who supported this, our third  annual Christmas Raffle. In doing so you all have made this event another huge success.

This is a reminder that all players participating in the training must have a signed copy of the waiver prior to the start of their session. Further information along with the waiver form can be found on the “Parents Page”. Sessions begin this Sunday starting at 12:00pm . Please check training rosters for your arrival times.

The White Rock Tritons Baseball Club is pleased to announce that beginning Saturday, November 13, 2010  Tara McCormick, BHK, MScPT will begin assessing the pitchers in our current program.

This assessment will look at players shoulder range of motion and strength to determine weak and or tight muscles.  Each pitcher will receive an individualized strengthening program with exercise recommendations. It is our hope  these exercises will improve their throwing mechanics and decrease the risk of injury.

Parents are asked to check the “Parent page”  and return the waiver  if you wish to be included these evaluations.
