Bursary Program
The White Rock Tritons Baseball Club is very pleased to announce what we believe is the first privately funded baseball scholarship program in the country. The purpose of the program is to provide our qualifying graduates additional financial support as they peruse a college degree.
We are very proud of our accomplishments having seen a large percentage of our past graduating players move onto to college programs both in Canada and the US. With the establishment of this program we feel it will provide the additional incentive for those who wish to use baseball as a means to further their education opportunities.
This major undertaking would not be possible if not for the support of many past and current sponsors. Their financial support over the last few years now provides the opportunity for our student athletes to be rewarded for their commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
The graduate will be eligible for these awards based upon a number of qualifying factors that include the following guidelines:
The student athlete must have been a member of the club for a minimum of two (2) years.
Should maintain or exceed a predetermined GPA for at least two years upon graduation.
Should be able to provide a history for recognized volunteer work or community service awards.
Maintain GPA or athletic eligibility for the first spring semester at a recognized college program.
This year the following have been rewarded for their dedication and commitment to this program.
Jake Bergsma
Kyle Enns
Liam Dolphin
Finally, the Tritons Baseball Club would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone from the private or corporate sector to join our program. With your support and resources we together can make a difference in the future of our student athletes.
