An overall poor team performance best descibed the efforts of the White Rock Tritons Tuesday night at the SSAP as they suffered their second regular season loss at the hand of the Fraser Valley Chiefs . Chiefs LHP Adam Masse pitched a no-hitter in gaining the 4-1 victory, keeping the Tritons off guard all evening, striking out 5 on route to the win.
Triton pitching gave up 6 walks on the evening along with 2 errors. The offense obviously not much better going 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position. Derek Stebbe was tagged with the loss in relief of starter Jake Bergsma who went 4 1/3.
Next up for the Tritons is an appearance at the annual Abbotsford Cardinal Invitational starting Wednesday night. Game time 7:00 versus the host Cardinals.
