The White Rock Tritons Baseball Club is very proud to announce that  seniors Jake Bergsma, Jake Chapman, David Hadlow, Antonio Paolini and Burke Seifrit have been added to the list of players who have signed Letters of Intent to play College Baseball starting this fall. These five now join OF,  Nick Senior (UBC) as part of the graduating class of this years team. All have been awarded athletic scholarships for next year as they continue their post secondary education.

Jake Bergsma (RHP/Inf) and Antonio Paolini (OF/C) the longest serving members of the current Tritons program have signed with Treasure Valley Community College (OR) and Douglas College(BC)  respectively. Both schools are members of the highly competitive North West Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC), a well respected Junior College wood bat conference.  Bergsma a Richmond product follows a long list of Triton Alumists that includes past players, Chris Jolley, Brent Swanson (current head coach) and Jeff Zielstra as well as  past coaches Josh Ridgway and Mike Lazuruk to play at Treasure Valley. Paolini  (Surrey, BC ) rejoins Coach Ridgway at Douglas who look to be much improved this coming season.

New comers to the Tritons program this year were also quick to draw attention from a number of schools. Lead by Burke Seifrit Inf/RHP) only the third Canadian born player to play at the College Southern Nevada  (Henderson, NV) a highly ranked Junior College program in the NJCAA. Siefrit will play for Head Coach Tim Chambers.

Joining Seifrit (Sherwood Park, AB) heading south will be Langley resident Jake Chapman (inf) who recently signed with Panola Community College in Texas. Chapman will play under Coach Todd Shelton. Rounding out the list is infielder David Hadlow (Surrey) who will join Bergsma this coming fall at TVCC as a member of the Chukkars playing under Coach Rick Baumann.

Finally, we wish to acknowledge the hard work and dedication all these fine young men have made over the years in allowing them to continue their education while playing baseball. Once again we wish to extend our congratulations to them and their families for the sacrifices they have made along the way.
